Coastal Waste Management in Lampung, Indonesia (ft. Gajahlah Kebersihan)

A story about Gajahlah Kebersihan (a.k.a. Marine Debris Ranger), a youth-led non-profit organisation dedicated to addressing the coastal waste issues in Lampung. Besides introducing the province's first waste management infrastructure, the work of the organisation has also led to the rise of circular economy and sustainable jobs in the area.

This entire video is produced and directed remotely. I first conducted online video meetings with Dicky Alfandy, the founder of Gajahlah Kebersihan, to learn more about his stories so that I could craft a narrative for the video. Once the story angle has been found, I proceeded to engage a video crew in Indonesia and briefed them on the project - both visual directions as well as the logistics of the shoot.
